Account security: Why is it important? <\/strong>

Over time, you\u2019ll have large amounts of sensitive personal data about your guests and customers in Heyloyalty.

That\u2019s why at Heyloyalty we require all users to set up two-factor authentication to minimize the risk of data breaches. Two-factor authentication is a feature where you log in with your username and password, plus a 6-digit code that changes very frequently (typically about every 30 seconds). This code will often be on a different device than the one you\u2019re trying to log in from.

In Heyloyalty, we also check known leaked passwords from haveibeenpwned.com. This means that when creating your user and choosing a password, you may see a message saying your password isn\u2019t valid. This message will appear if you try to use a password that we know has previously been leaked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2FA <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first time you log in to Heyloyalty, you need to set up two-factor authentication. You choose which app you want to use (e.g., 1Password or Google, Microsoft, or Apple Authenticator), but you\u2019ll need an app on your phone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enter your username and password and click Log in<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now scan the QR code with your chosen authenticator app on your phone. It will generate a 6-digit one-time code that you need to enter in Heyloyalty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll now be taken back to the first login page again. Enter your username and password again. Click Log in<\/strong> and enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app again. The code has likely changed since you last entered it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From now on, you\u2019ll need this app in combination with your username and password whenever you want to log in to Heyloyalty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create password <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When you\u2019ve been created as a user, you\u2019ll receive an email from Heyloyalty. Click the link in the email and you\u2019ll be taken to a login page where you can enter the password you want to use. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We check whether your password appears on the list at haveibeenpwned.com to ensure it hasn\u2019t previously been leaked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reset password <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At app.heyloyalty.com\/login, you can request a password reset at any time by clicking Lost\/forgotten password<\/strong>: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
