March 2026<\/time><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An automation flow is a feature that automatically starts a flow when a specific trigger is met. When a contact meets the trigger, the contact goes through the actions set up in the flow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A flow may include, among other things, the following actions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Send emails<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Send text messages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organize contacts into different groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add conditions to determine whether the contact should continue in the flow<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add delays between actions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform member actions, such as updating fields or moving a contact<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this guide, we&#8217;ll show you how to create an automation flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Automation Flow Settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Go to &#8221; Heyloyalty checks the segment before each send and automatically excludes the contacts included in the segment. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> If you can&#8217;t find the segment you want to exclude, it&#8217;s because that segment isn&#8217;t in the selected list. Read the guide on how to <a href=\"https:\/\/guides.heyloyalty.com\/en\/help\/simple-segmentation\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/guides.heyloyalty.com\/help\/simpel-segmentering\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">create a segment<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Save to folder: If <\/strong>you have many automation flows, we recommend that you save the flow to a folder. This makes it easier to find the automation flow again. If no folders are displayed, you must first create a folder. By default, Heyloyalty sends messages at midnight on the selected date. If you want to avoid this, you can specify a time period during which messages should not be sent. For example, if you specify <strong>8:00 PM to 10:00 AM<\/strong>, the message will not be sent until after <strong>10:00 AM<\/strong> on the specified date.   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Limit Send Frequency:<\/strong> If a contact can trigger the automation flow multiple times in a short period, you can specify a minimum interval between sends. Enter the minimum number of hours that must elapse before the same contact can receive another message from the automation flow. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Restrict by days: Select <\/strong>the days of the week on which the automation flow should not send out messages.
