July 2026<\/time><\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this guide, you\u2019ll learn how to change the unsubscribe text that appears at the bottom of your default template\u2014also known as <strong>the \u201cPermission Reminder\u201d<\/strong> in Heyloyalty. A \u201cPermission Reminder\u201d explains to the recipient which newsletter they are subscribed to and where they signed up. It also provides information on how to unsubscribe from the newsletter.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The text could, for example, read: &#8220;You are receiving this email because you signed up for the newsletter on our website. Unsubscribe from our newsletter here.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Images for this guide will be added later<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Changing the Unsubscribe Text<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To change the unsubscribe text in a standard template, edit the list from which you are sending the email. At the top of the &#8221; <strong>Edit List <\/strong>&#8221; page, <strong>you&#8217;ll <\/strong>find the &#8221; <strong>Permission Reminder<\/strong>&#8221; tab.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here you can edit and insert the text you want to include in your newsletter.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>REMEMBER:<\/strong> Subscribers must always be able to unsubscribe from your newsletter. Use <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/guides.heyloyalty.com\/en\/help\/merge-fields\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/guides.heyloyalty.com\/help\/flettefelter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the merge field for unsubscribe<\/a><\/strong>as a link to ensure that the contact is unsubscribed correctly. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Here&#8217;s what you need to know about the Permission Reminder<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re using Heyloyalty&#8217;s default template and have modified the text in the &#8221; <strong>Permission Reminder<\/strong> &#8221; section under &#8221; <strong>Design and Content<\/strong> &#8221; (Step 2 in campaigns and automation flows), those changes will be copied over if you subsequently copy the campaign.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This means that the copied campaign uses the <strong>&#8220;Permission reminder<\/strong> &#8221; text from the original campaign, rather <strong>than<\/strong> the text specified under the <strong>&#8220;Permission reminder<\/strong> &#8221; tab in the list.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to use the &#8221; <strong>Permission reminder<\/strong> &#8221; text from the list itself, you must create a brand-new campaign instead of copying an existing one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this guide, you\u2019ll learn how to change the unsubscribe text that appears at the bottom of your default template\u2014also known as the \u201cPermission Reminder\u201d in Heyloyalty.
