September 2026<\/time><\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this guide, you&#8217;ll learn how to create an SMS campaign in Heyloyalty and prepare it for delivery. You&#8217;ll learn how to select recipients and the sender, set up the content, and test and approve the campaign.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\"><strong>Note<\/strong>: Sending text messages is not included in your license. You will therefore be charged per text message sent. <a href=\"https:\/\/heyloyalty.com\/priser-til-oplevelsesindustrien\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/heyloyalty.com\/priser-til-oplevelsesindustrien\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">See the current prices on our website.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Images will be added to this guide later.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Create a new campaign<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Go to the <strong>&#8220;Campaigns&#8221; <\/strong>menu item <strong>and <\/strong>select <strong>&#8220;Create New Campaign<\/strong>.&#8221; In Step 1, fill in the general settings for your SMS campaign:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Campaign Type: <\/strong>Select &#8221; <strong>SMS<\/strong>&#8221; <strong>here <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Delivery Type<\/strong>: Select how the campaign should be delivered:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Regular Campaign<\/strong>: Select this option if the campaign is to be sent only once.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Recurring campaign: Select <\/strong>this option if the campaign is to be sent multiple times on specific days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Recipient List<\/strong>: Select the list that will receive the SMS campaign. Be sure to select a list where your recipients have a phone number.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Segment: Select <\/strong>a segment if you want the SMS campaign to be sent only to a specific group on your recipient list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Campaign Name<\/strong>: Enter an internal name for your campaign.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Labels: Select <\/strong>a label if you want to be able to filter your SMS campaigns by label in the campaign overview.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Save to folder: Select <\/strong>a folder if you want the SMS campaign to be placed in a specific folder in the campaign overview.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you have completed the general settings, select the broadcast settings:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Send Time: Select <\/strong>when the campaign should be sent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sender: Select <\/strong>the SMS sender from which the campaign should be sent. If you cannot select a sender, you must first create one. Read our guide on <a href=\"https:\/\/guides.heyloyalty.com\/en\/help\/sender-profile\/#opsaetning-af-afsenderprofil\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/guides.heyloyalty.com\/help\/afsenderprofil\/#opsaetning-af-afsenderprofil\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">how to create an SMS sender.<\/a> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\"><strong>Note<\/strong>: If you are unable to send your SMS campaign, it may be because your Heyloyalty account has an SMS limit that prevents it from sending SMS messages. Contact our support email to adjust this limit to match your expected SMS usage.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you have configured the settings above, click &#8221; <strong>Next<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Set up the content of your SMS campaign<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Step 2, you set up the content of your SMS. On the left, you can enter the text that your recipients will receive.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An SMS can contain up to 160 characters. If the content exceeds 160 characters, the message may be split and charged as multiple SMS messages.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to insert <a href=\"https:\/\/guides.heyloyalty.com\/en\/help\/merge-fields\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/guides.heyloyalty.com\/help\/flettefelter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">merge fields<\/a> into your SMS campaign\u2014such as an unsubscribe link\u2014click <strong>Merge Fields<\/strong>. Here, you can choose from the available merge fields.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the content of your SMS campaign is ready, click <strong>Next<\/strong> in the right-hand corner.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Test and Approve the SMS Campaign<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Step 3, you can review your campaign and see a preview of the text message at the bottom of Step 3 before approving the final send.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under <strong>\u201cSend Test SMS<\/strong>,\u201d you can enter your phone number and send a test message to yourself.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> Test text messages are also billed separately from your license.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check the content of your test text message. Once you&#8217;re satisfied with the campaign, click &#8221; <strong>Approve and Send<\/strong> &#8221; in Step 3.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Your SMS campaign is ready to be sent<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You have now created your SMS campaign, selected recipients and a sender, written the content, and tested the campaign.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before you approve the final send, we recommend that you check the recipient list, the sender, and the content one last time.
