Images for this guide will be added later.
Step 1: Go to the list view and select contacts
Go to the List Overview in Heyloyalty. Click on the list name or tap the three dots (•••) next to the list and select ” View Contacts” for the list from which you want to move or copy your contacts.
On the Contact List, select the contacts you want to move or copy. To do this, check the box next to the email address or cell phone number you want to move. If you want to move all contacts, click the arrow next to “Select” ( located on the left side under the heading “Contact List” ) . Here, select “All.”
Step 2: Settings for Moving/Copying Contacts
Once you’ve selected the contacts you want to move, scroll to the bottom of your contact list and select ” Action for multiple members.”
Here, you can choose to either move or copy contacts to another list.
You are now ready to configure the settings for your move or copy:
- Select list: Here, you select the list to which the contacts should be copied or moved.
- Handling Duplicates: You have the following options:
- Do nothing: Move or copy contacts only if there is no duplicate.
- Overwrite the duplicate: Moves/copies contacts from the original list and deletes all fields that do not exist in the duplicate on the destination list. In other words, if the email address support@heyloyalty.com is moved from the original list to the destination list and the member does not have a first name on the original list, the first name will be deleted from the contact on the destination list.
- Update the duplicate: Move or copy the contact to the destination list and update the fields that do not exist. If there are differences in the contact’s data, the data from the original list will be used to update the duplicate in the destination list.
- Ignore duplicates: Moves or copies the contact regardless of existing duplicates.
- Field for duplicate handling: Here, you select the field Heyloyalty should use to match your contacts. Most often, this will be the email address.
- Send welcome flows and update flows: If you have set up an update or welcome flow on the list to which you are copying or moving the contact, you must decide whether these flows should be sent to that contact.
- Send a webhook: If you have an integration that uses webhooks, it may be a good idea to send updates informing other systems that you have copied or moved a contact to another list
Once you have decided on the settings above, click the Move or Copy button .
After that, you’ll be able to see the changes in the lists you’ve been working on.
