Create campaign
A campaign is created in three phases:
- Information
- Design and setup
- Test and approve
We’ll start with information. After clicking Campaign –> Create new campaign, you’ll see the screen below.

Campaign type allows you to choose whether you want to send an email, SMS, SMS+ or web push if you have purchased the addon. In this case, you choose email.

Under Shipment type , you can choose between Regular campaign, Repeat campaign and AB split test campaign. You can find an in-depth guide on the latter here (link: Create destination and get Products to create the guide).
Recurring campaign allows you to make a campaign automatically send out again and again at a specific time:

You choose the time and date for the first send, and whether the campaign repeats on one or more specific weekdays or on one or more specific dates (e.g., on the 1st and 15th of a month). Finally, you choose whether the campaign should have an end date or not.

For now, however, we select regular campaign and then move on to select list and segment.

Campaign name is the internal name you choose for the campaign. As such, it is not immediately visible to users. This vague wording is because the campaign name is part of the UTM parameters by default, so some of your users can potentially read the campaign name from the URL after clicking on the email.

Labels are internal keywords you can choose to use on your campaigns. By using labels, you can easily search and get an overview of previously sent campaigns.
Many use labels to divide campaigns into e.g. ‘season pass’, ‘offer’, ‘Christmas greeting’ etc.

In the next box, you’ll find the option to select the specific send time and which sender profile you want to be the sender of the campaign. This is also where you write your subject line and preheader. Try to keep your subject line under 30-50 characters and the preheader under 40-90 characters.

Once the fields are filled in, click continue, select your template and design the email.
